North-West Public Engagement Professionals Network
The NW-PEP Network is a community of Public Engagement Professionals in the North-West of England. The network meets every quarter for informal coffee meet-ups. This is an opportunity to meet other PEPs who live or work in the local area. Members come from Universities, Research Institutes, National Organisations, Charities or are freelance professionals. There are folks who have over a decade of experience as PEP, as well as others who are new to the sector. Many within the network also have years of experience outside Higher Education, giving unique perspectives and experiences to our conversations and reflections.

The Network also hosts Skills Sharing Days. These days are entirely led by the Network, for the Network and are opportunities to come together and learn from each other around a specific topic within PEP practice. The first Skills Sharing Day was on running Public Engagement Funding programmes. Our learning from the day can be found within this report by Dr Bentley Crudgington and Dr Dom Galliano.
Our next coffee meet-up is on Monday 24 November 14:00 to 16:00 at Social Refuge in Manchester. These spaces are very informal, and a fantastic to help each other solve day to day challenges, navigate politics together, reflect and share, and more importantly have a laugh over coffee and cake.
And then on Wednesday 10 December the amazing Liverpool folks are hosting and running the next skills-sharing day around the role of festivals in the current Public Engagement landscape. You can register here.
